Joshua Seigal (he/him) is a poet, performer, and educator. Seigal’s books for children include I Am (HarperCollins, 2024), Poetry Is Not for Me! (Collins, 2023), Who Let the Words Out? (Bloomsbury, 2023), Yapping Away (Bloomsbury, 2021), Welcome to My Crazy Life (Bloomsbury, 2020), I Bet I Can Make You Laugh (Bloomsbury, 2018), Little Lemur Laughing (Bloomsbury, 2017), and I Don’t Like Poetry (Bloomsbury, 2016). He also writes for adults, where some of his work is inspired by psychoanalytic theory.

Seigal has won the 2022 People’s Book Prize (UK) and the 2020 and 2023 Laugh Out Loud Award. He has performed at schools and festivals, including the Edinburgh International Book Festival, the Cheltenham Literature Festival, and the Emirates Airline Literature Festival. He is an ambassador for National Poetry Day UK, and has been commissioned to write and perform for the BBC. Joshua earned an MA in creative writing and education from Goldsmiths, University of London.
