Josué Guébo

Josué Guébo is an Ivorian, French-language poet and the author of seven poetry collections, several of them translated into English, including My country, tonight (Action Books, 2016) and Think of Lampedusa (University of Nebraska Press, 2017). He earned a PhD in History and Philosophy of Sciences, and he is the recipient of the Bernard Dadié Grand Prize and the U Tam'si Prize.
Guébo is a professor at the University of Félix Houphouët–Boigny of Cocody in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. He served as president of the Ivorian Writers’ Association from 2011 to 2016.
