Karthik Purushothaman is a poet from Chennai, India, who now lives in New Jersey after earning his MFA from William Paterson University. Currently finishing his first collection, Karthik has been nominated twice for the Pushcart Prizes, once for Best New Poets, and was a special mention in the wonderful Best American Nonrequired Reading 2019. His poems and nonfiction appear in American Poetry Review, Jacobin, The Wire, Hyperallergic, Boulevard, Rattle, Subtropics, The Common, The Rumpus, The Margins, EVENT, and Writers Resist: The Anthology, among other places.
