Lilli Carré

Lilli Carré is a visual artist and filmmaker based in Los Angeles. Her animated films have been screened at the Sundance Film Festival, 25 FPS, Annecy, the International Film Festival Rotterdam, the New Chitose Airport International Animation Festival, the Ann Arbor Film Festival, and the European Media Art Festival. She is codirector of the Eyeworks Festival of Experimental Animation held annually in Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York City. Carré has published several graphic novels, including Heads or Tails (2012), with Fantagraphics. Venues such as the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, the Columbus Museum of Art, and Western Exhibitions have hosted solo exhibitions of her animation and sculpture work. Carré teaches in the experimental animation department at CalArts.
