Peter Mason (he/him) is a bi+ poet and editor from Rochester, New York. Mason was a finalist for a 2022 Ruth Lilly and Dorothy Sargent Rosenberg Poetry Fellowship. He received the inaugural C.D. Wright/Academy of American Poets Prize and an Artists 360 Grant from the Mid-America Arts Alliance. Other honors and awards include a Walton Family Fellowship in Poetry from the University of Arkansas, a finalist for the 2018 Puerto del Sol Poetry Contest, and runner-up in Epiphany’s 2017 Spring Contest. His work has been published in Poetry, Ninth Letter, AGNI,Booth, The Journal, Tinderbox, LUMINA,and elsewhere. 

Mason is the assistant director of the MFA program in creative writing at the University of Minnesota, a poetry editor at Up North Lit, and the assistant poetry editor at Copihue Poetry. He earned a BA from SUNY Fredonia and an MFA from the University of Arkansas. He lives in the Twin Cities area, Minneapolis.
