Quenton Baker

Quenton Baker (they/them) is a poet and educator. They are the co-author of Banana [ ______ ] / we pilot the blood (The 3rd Thing, 2021) and ballast (Haymarket Books, 2023). Their work has been published in The Offing, Jubilat, Prairie Schooner, The Rumpus, and elsewhere. Baker is a Cave Canem fellow, and their work focuses on Black interiority and the afterlife of slavery. They are the recipient of the 2018 Arts Innovator Award from the Artist Trust, and they were a 2019 Robert Rauschenberg Artist in Residence and a 2021 National Endowment for the Arts Literature Fellow.
