Rebecca Kamen, a sculptor and lecturer on the intersections of art and science, seeks truth through observation. Her artwork is informed by wide-ranging research into cosmology, history, and philosophy, and by connecting common threads that flow across various scientific fields to capture and reimagine what scientists see.

Kamen has exhibited and lectured both nationally and internationally, and has been the recipient of many research fellowships and artist residencies. Her artwork is represented in both private and public collections. She has collaborated with poet S.J. Fowler since 2015, when they were fellows at the Salzburg Global Seminar session The Neuroscience of Art: What are the Sources of Creativity and Innovation?

Kamen serves as Visiting Scholar in the Department of Physics and Astronomy and Artist-in-Residence in the Computational Neuroscience Initiative at the University of Pennsylvania.
