Ron Regé Jr.

Ron Regé, Jr. was born in 1969, and is originally from Plymouth, Massachusetts. He began creating, Xeroxing, and self-distributing his own mini comics in Boston in the early 90’s. Over the years, His comics and drawings have appeared in hundreds of zines, comics anthologies, and magazines.

Ron’s first Graphic Novel, the nearly 300 page long Skibber Bee~Bye was released by Highwater books in 2000. A new edition is now available from Drawn & Quarterly, who have also published Ron’s newest book The Awake Field. They will be releasing two anthologies of Ron’s shorter works next year, Scituate Heart, and Against Pain. Two installments of Ron’s Yeast Hoist series are also available from Buenaventura press, who will be publishing a collection of Ron;s mini-comics work next year.

Ron’s art is currently on display at The Phoenix art Museum, as part of the exhibition “UnInked: Paintings, Sculpture and Graphic Work by Five Cartoonists” exhibit.

Ron is currently living in Los Angeles, where he continues to draw comics, as well as play drums in & make art for the band Lavender Diamond, who have recently released their first album, Imagine Our Love on Matador Records.
