Performance poet Sara Holbrook grew up in Berkley, Michigan, and earned a BA at Mount Union College. Her poetry collections include Isn’t She Ladylike (2002) and Chicks Up Front (1998), as well as numerous collections for children and teenagers, including Zombies! Evacuate the School! (2010), By Definition: Poems of Feelings (2003), and Parents’ Choice Award winner Walking on the Boundaries of Change: Poems of Transition (1998). With Michael Salinger, Holbrook wrote the guidebook Outspoken! How to Improve Writing and Speaking Skills through Poetry Performance (2006). She lives in Ohio.
