Stephanie Heit is a queer, bipolar, and disabled poet, dancer, and teacher. She is codirector of Turtle Disco, a somatic writing space on Anishinaabe territory in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Heit is a Zoeglossia fellow; a member of the Olimpias, an international disability performance collective; and a shock/psych system survivor. Her poetry collections are the hybrid memoir poem Psych Murders (Wayne State University Press, 2022) and The Color She Gave Gravity (The Operating System, 2017).
