Susannah Nevison grew up in Massachusetts. She earned degrees at the University of Southern California, Columbia University, and the University of Utah. Her books include Lethal Theater (2019), winner of the Charles B. Wheeler Poetry Prize from OSU/The Journal, and Teratology (2015), winner of the Lexi Rudnitsky First Book Prize. She is also the coauthor, with Molly McCully Brown, of In the Field Between Us (2020). Nevison’s honors include winning the 2014 Patricia Aakhus Award from Southern Indiana Review and the 2013 American Literary Review Poetry Contest. She is a visiting assistant professor of English and creative writing at Sweet Briar College in Virginia.
