Constance Jaeggi (she/her) is a Swiss photographic artist whose work focuses on the relationship between horse and human, particularly women. She uses horses as a backdrop for exploring themes of intimacy, identity, connection, and power dynamics. Her work has been internationally exhibited and published, including two solo shows at the National Cowgirl Museum in Fort Worth, Texas; exhibitions in Rome and Venice, Italy and Zurich, Switzerland; and publication by National Geographic, The Guardian, and The Washington Post. Jaeggi’s project, Escaramuza, the Poetics of Home is a 2024 Lensculture Critics’ Choice Awards winner, and she is a member of Women Photograph.

Jaeggi splits her time between Fort Worth, Texas and Denver, Colorado. In 2009, she moved to Texas from her native Switzerland to pursue a degree from Texas Christian University and begin her competitive cutting horse-riding career. In addition to a BA from TCU, Jaeggi has studied at the New York Film Academy and earned an MA in art history and art world practice from Christie’s Education.
