Ae Hee Lee

Ae Hee Lee is the author of ASTERISM (2024), winner of the 2022 Dorset Prize from Tupelo Press. She is also the author of three poetry chapbooks: Dear bear, (2021); Connotary (2021), winner of the Frost Place Chapbook Competition; and Bedtime||Riverbed (2017). Her poetry has appeared in The Georgia Review, Denver Quarterly, New England Review, Narrative, Poetry,and elsewhere.Lee was a finalist for the 2022 Ruth Lilly and Dorothy Sargent Rosenberg Poetry Fellowship and a recipient of the 2021 James Olney Award from The Southern Review.

Lee was born in South Korea and raised in Peru. She earned an MFA from the University of Notre Dame, where she was awarded an Academy of American Poets Prize. She also earned a PhD in literature and creative writing from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Lee lives in Wisconsin.
