Jenny Xie

She is the author of Eye Level (Graywolf Press, 2018), a finalist for the National Book Award and the recipient of the Walt Whitman Award and the Holmes National Poetry Prize, and The Rupture Tense (Graywolf Press, 2022), a finalist for the National Book Award and the CLMP Firecracker Award. Her chapbook, Nowhere to Arrive (Northwestern University Press, 2017), won the Drinking Gourd Chapbook Poetry Prize. She has been supported by fellowships and grants from the Civitella Ranieri Foundation, the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference, Kundiman, the New York Foundation for the Arts, the Vilcek Foundation, and the Jerome Foundation. Xie has taught at Princeton University and New York University and is currently an assistant professor of written arts at Bard College. She lives in New York City.
