Michael Prior

Michael Prior earned an MFA from Cornell University and an MA in English literature from the University of Toronto. His is the author of Burning Province (2020) and Model Disciple (2016), which was named one of the best books of the year by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. Prior’s honors include Magma Poetry’s Editors’ Prize, the Walrus Poetry Prize, and Matrix Magazine’s Lit POP Award for Poetry. He is an assistant professor of English at Macalester College, and he divides his time between Saint Paul, Minnesota and Vancouver, British Columbia.
