Robert Pottle

Pottle, who worked as a first-grade teacher for more than a decade, is founder of Blue Lobster Press and several children’s poetry websites.
Pottle’s humorous poems frequently incorporate rhyme and are intended for young audiences. His numerous collections include Poems with Moxie (2008, illustrated by Holly Hardwick), I’m Allergic to School (2007, illustrated by Mike and Carl Gordon), and Maine: The Way Wildlife Should Be—A Wicked Good Book of Verse (2005, illustrated by Holly Hardwick). His work is also featured in the anthologies Rolling in the Aisles: A Collection of Laugh-Out-Loud Poems (2011), Dinner with Dracula (2006), and My Teacher’s in Detention (2006). Pottle lives in Maine with his family.
