Rowie Shondeen Shebala is of the Cliff Dweller Clan, born for the Start of the Red Streak Clan. She is from Fort Defiance, Arizona, out of the Navajo Nation. Shebala earned an MFA in poetry at the Institute of American Indian Arts. She is a member of Saad Bee Hozho: Dine Writers’ Collective.
