Zoey Yazzie is Tódích’iinii, Bitterwater, born for Áshįįhí, Salt. Her maternal clan is Yé’ii Diné—“Giant” People—and her paternal clan is Nóóda’í Dine’é Táchi’nii—The Ute People of the Red Running Into Water. Yazzie is an emerging storyteller interested in reclamation, reminiscence, and the recognition of her lineage of wanderlusting women of Black Mesa, Arizona
